YOGALAB’s Introduction to Vinyasa Yoga Beginners Course

If you’re brand new to yoga or just want to revisit the basics, our Introduction to Vinyasa Yoga course is for you! Join YOGALAB director and senior teacher Shawn Taylor as he shares his knowledge throughout this 4 week beginners course. This course will teach you everything you need to know to kick start your practice in a safe, fun and inspiring way! 

Week 1 (Body) –  This first lesson teaches the basics on posture (asana) and The four corners of Vinyasa Yoga – Breath (pranayama), Drishti (focus), Bandha (Joint stability) and Tadasana – the energy behind your alignment.

Week 2 (Mind & Breath) – Learn to observe the mind and dive deep into pranayama, yogic breath control. Each week builds on the next and everything is practiced in real time. Questions are encouraged as your curiosity expands!

Week 3 (Practice) – Learn the art of Tapas – the discipline that leads to a strong foundation. This week we explore sensation in longer holds and cultivate a steady mind. This is one of the most awesome tools for personal empowerment!

Week 4 (Evolve) – Living yoga on and off the mat. You’ll learn about the 8 limbs of yoga and how these teachings apply to daily life. Explore meditation in the modern world and the amazing benefits of stilling the mind. This ties at all together and sets you up to live the awesome life you are here to live!

*Spaces in this course are limited to ensure plenty of one on one instruction. Bookings are essential.

WHEN: Monday’s beginning February 10th, 17th, 24th and March 9th (the 2nd of March is a public holiday, course resumes and ends on March 9th).

You are in an awesome hands as a new student as his approach to teaching is lighthearted, informative and fun! Shawn is an E-RYT 500 and YACEP.
