What is the Introductory Offer?
Our intro offer is $59 for 30 days of unlimited classes.
If you’re new to the studio it’s the best value pass, it allows you to attend as many classes as you like in the 30 day period. We recommend you practice as often as you can and try all of the classes we have on offer. You can purchase the intro offer online or at the studio when you attend your first class.
Am I eligible for the introductory offer and how to I purchase it?
If you’re new to YOGALAB and/or have never purchased the intro offer from us before then you’re eligible!
Will my Introductory pass start on the day I purchase it?
NO, your intro pass will activate automatically on the date of your first class not the date of purchase.
Please note there are strictly NO suspensions/extensions on the intro pass, we recommend you start your intro pass at a time when you know you’ll get the most value out of your 30 days.
What if I have never done ANY yoga before?
You can attend any class on the schedule, they’re all beginner friendly. If it’s your first time, awesome! Let your teacher know upon arrival and just go at your own pace, look around, follow along and take breaks when needed. You’ll notice that after just a few classes you’ll see some progress!
If you have never done any yoga before and are not comfortable jumping straight into our open classes we recommend you take our ongoing beginners course “Introduction to Vinyasa Yoga” or a few techniques classes first. Both of these offerings break down all the basics to give you a good understanding of how to align your body, modify poses when needed and how to breathe. This is the best way to start. You can also book a one on one session to get personal guidance from one of our amazing teachers.
Do I need to book to attend a class?
Booking is not essential however it is highly recommended. Walk ins are welcome but subject to availability.
What if I book a class and can’t make it?
If you have booked a class and need to cancel you must do so via the online booking system. We cannot process cancellations via phone or email.
If you Book a class and fail to cancel within the 4 hour window or do not attend the booked class you will be charged a late cancelation / no show fee. Cancellation fees are equal to the value of the pass being used to pay for the class or in the case of Unlimited members a fee of $15 will be charged to your account.
When shall I arrive for my first class?
Please arrive at the studio at least 15 minutes prior to class starting to allow time to chat to your teacher and get yourself orientated with the studio.
If you have not pre-purchased your intro offer online you will also need time to complete registration.
Our reception is open 30 minutes prior to the start of each class – please ensure you are always ready to go, set up and on your mat at least 5 minutes prior to class starting to ensure classes run to schedule.
What happens If I arrive late?
We have a strict no late entry policy. Out of respect for your teacher and fellow yogis late entry is not permitted. Please be set up on your mat 5 minutes before class start time. This is the practise of Abhyasa – The practice of showing up not just for your yoga class but the practise of life! Allow yourself plenty of time to get to the studio, park and drop into serene headspace:)
Do I need to sign in at reception if I have a pass or membership?
All students are required to sign in at reception before entering the yoga studio. Please ensure you have done this every time you take class, even if you have booked online and/or are an unlimited member you still need to check-in at reception and let your teacher know you have arrived.
Do you have mats and towels available for hire?
We currently to do not have yoga mats to hire due to the covid-19 (coranavirus) studio safety and hygiene policy.
We offer towel hire for $3
Do you have showers?
Yes, we have 2 showers and ask all students showering after class to be mindful of other yogis that may be waiting by limiting showering time to 3 minutes.
How HOT do the classes get?
We have both heated and non-heated classes, our heated classes reach a max temp of 27 degrees. The heated classes allow for increased blood circulation which helps you warm up your muscles for a safer stretch. The room does not reach temperature close to Bikram yoga (40 degrees). It just has a nice cosy, warm feel to it.
Please see class styles to learn which classes are heated
What do I wear/bring?
We recommend you wear light clothing that you’ll be comfortable moving and sweating in for our vinyasa classes, and for Yin and Meditation something comfortable and warm, particularly in the cooler months.
Please also bring a yoga mat and water bottle, we have a filtered water station but do not sell bottled water so you will need your own bottle.
How do I find you?
Our street address is 181A High Street (the same as MOTHER restaurant) however we are at the rear of the building and up a flight of stairs and our entrance is accessed via Phanos Lane which comes off Queens Street (view on map)Map
